Chalet no 2 “Patrys”
Patrys is the Afrikaans name for the Greywing Partridges which can often be seen alongside the access road towards Meiringskloof.
Meiringskloof originally existed only as a municipal picnic site. It was bought by the present owners and development started under the supervision of retired missionaries Oom Japie le Roux and his wife Sans. The ablution facilities of the picnic area were converted into the first self-catering chalet, Patrys, which was occupied in 1988 for the first time.
