Each chalet has an open plan lounge / dining room / kitchen area with a fireplace in the lounge. All are fully equipped with a 4-plate stove and oven, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Type C all have an electric-frying pan. Bedding is supplied but no towels – visitors must bring their own towels. Chalets do not have TVs or electric under-blankets.
Each chalet has its own braai area with table and chairs outside. Braai’s are cleaned daily.
Chalets are self-catering and not serviced daily, but cleaning can be arranged at extra cost.
People staying at Meiringskloof can pre-book the Lapa for their exclusive use.
It has a serving table, built-in braai, tables & chairs, cutlery & crockery for 36 people. No pots and pans provided please bring your own. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, 4-plate stove, urn, hotplate and basin for washing-up. Black/ White table cloths with green and red/ blue overlays available.
Staff to wash dishes can be arranged in advance, ask ahead for costs.
